"Have a vision so big that unless God intervenes it will fail." These were the words that motivated the founding director of Camp Sonshine in Maryland to start camp in the summer of 1981. These are the words that still echo in Jeff (raised in Culver Bible Church) andTrish Keiser's hearts as they stepped out of their comfort zones to follow their dreams. It has been a long-time dream of theirs to start a children's ministry program together, and after having spent a combined total of 10 summers with Camp Sonshine in Maryland, they strongly felt called to extend the impact of that day camp ministry to the rapidly growing city of Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning in the summer of 2007.
The state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot museum brings the pages of the Bible to life, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and placing them in familiar settings. Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden. Children play and dinosaurs roam near Eden’s Rivers. The serpent coils cunningly in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Majestic murals, great masterpieces brimming with pulsating colors and details, provide a backdrop for many of the settings.

50,000 people die every 24 hours—most without the Savior. This ministry is deeply concerned that so few Christians reach out to the lost. Statistics show that this is as low as 5%. One of the reasons for this is that many don’t feel equipped. The sole purpose for this ministry is to inspire and equip Christians—to teach them how to share the gospel simply, effectively, biblically . . . the way Jesus did.
